Children’s Advocacy Center of McKean County Mission
The Children’s Advocacy Center of McKean County Multidisciplinary Team are dedicated to serving child victims of abuse and their families by providing collaborative services in a child friendly environment to reduce trauma and promote healing.
What is a Children’s Advocacy Center?
The Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) Model is a child-focused, facility-based program in which representatives from seven core disciplines work together, conducting joint forensic interviews and making team decisions about the investigation, treatment, management and prosecution of child [sexual] abuse.

Services Offered at the Center
The Children’s Advocacy Center of McKean County (CACMC) provides a joint investigative team approach, 2 trained forensic interviewers, victim’s support, and a referral process for medical and mental health services for children.
All services are free and confidential.
All referrals to the Center are made by the District Attorney’s Office, Law Enforcement, and/or Child Protective Services. Once a report of child abuse is made, a referral will be made to the Center.
