The McKean County Commissioners established the county economic development department to provide services to help retain and create employment opportunities in the county.  


The McKean County EDO provides the following services:

  • Technical assistance related to local, state and federal economic development programs
  • Referrals to resources for Entrepreneurs considering starting or expanding a business
  • Community Visioning and Planning Assistance
  • Managing special projects related to community and economic development
  • Developing and maintaining a directory of economic and community development resources within the county and our region
  • Developing and maintaining a directory of potential development sites
