Independent Living

ilimage2Building Independence for youth, one piece at a time!

Independent Living Vision

All teens have an ability to learn select skills in order to gain a level of independence that promotes self esteem and self discovery. Independent Living works to develop each participant's strengths in order to ensure a smoother transition into adulthood from system care.

Independent Living Mission

The IL program attempts to assist youth in planning for and meeting their basic needs for education, safe housing, life skills, employment and vocations.

IL also recognizes that young people need to develop social skills and become contributing members of society.

Referrals are made by another service provider such as Children and Youth Services, Juvenile Probation, Mental Health or careerlink. Youth must be between the ages of 14 to 21 and receiving services from one of these agencies.
